We are staying off site. We have a couple of character breakfasts scheduled for about 11am. Should we park our car at the hotel the dining is taking place or at the park we intend to spend the day at and travel via Disney transportation (monorail, etc)?

    Hi Courtney,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only a month away! You must be so excited. On my last visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, I stayed offsite. It was a new experience for me because we typically stay on site. I was worried that transportation would be problematic but it truly wasn't.
My recommendation for your Character Breakfast reservations is to park your car at the theme park where you plan to end your day and use Resort Transportation to reach your breakfast. I have two reasons for this. The first reason is Walt Disney World Resort Hotels only allow parking for a few hours for guests who are not staying at that particular resort. I wouldn't want to risk having any issue with my car at the end of a day at the parks. Do you know what some people say "Epcot" is an abbreviation for? Every person comes out tired. I know it's true for me!
The second reason is you want the end of your day to be as simple as possible. When everyone is tired and ready for rest, the last thing you want is to spend more time trying to get to your car. If you have parked at the park where you have spent your day, you only have a short ride on the tram to get to your car and be on your way.
Courtney, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you will let us know if you have any other planning questions!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
