I am staying off site, have a car and would like to make reservations for MBYBBQ. I cant seem to find out how to get there. Need driving directions. If it helps I am staying at Windsor Hill, close to Hollywood Studios. Thanks so much, just love this panel

    Barbara:

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is held at the Outdoor Pavilion at Fort Wilderness Resort.

To get there from off-property, simply follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom. As you approach the MK gates, merge to the second right-hand lane (the far right lane is for buses) and let them know you are headed to Fort Wilderness. The cast member at the gate will tell you to take your first right. Be careful, you'll need to merge into the bus lane before taking that right turn.

After taking that right, you'll come to Fort Wilderness on your left, within less than a mile. You'll give your name and driver's license to the security guard at the gate and will be directed to park your car in the lot. Because cars are not allowed at the Outdoor Pavilion, you'll simply take a bus from the lot--any of them that say Settlement, but, to me, the fastest is the Orange Line--and it will let you off about 75 yards from the Pavilion. (There will be signs.)  The Outdoor Pavilion is beside the stables and behind Pioneer Hall.

Make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes early, as seats are first-come, first-served for the dinner, and the line begins as much as an hour in advance of the evening.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a memorable meal!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
