Jo from Hants Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am staying off site arriving in February 2021, I am ready to book parks on the 28th, will Disney be releasing extra availability for the likes of me on the 28th or will availability be what is left after on site guests and AP have already booked?

    Hi Jo,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is SO much information coming out about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. Planning for a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth can feel a bit like the wildest ride in the wilderness! I think we're all going to want to channel our inner Mrs. Incredible and be as flexible as we can.

The new Disney Park Pass System will open on June 22nd for guests with Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservations. Annual Passholders will be able to make park reservations on June 26th, and all other existing ticket holders will be able to make reservations on June 28th. I like to take last-minute trips. I remember when the FastPass+ system debuted, and I was constantly worried about finding good FastPass+ selections within 30 days. It wasn't too long before I learned the new system and was able to visit my favorite attractions without waiting too long. I am betting the Disney Park Pass System will be the same and we will all understand how to use it quickly. At this time, we do not know how many reservations will be available and if any will be held for later release. There is not a guarantee that you will be able to make a reservation, but I am hopeful for you. Remember, you will be making reservations for next year before many people have set their vacation dates for 2021.

Of course, since you aren't visiting until next year, the policies may change a bit. If I were you, I would keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. They have shared so much wonderful information, including a recent update on Attractions and Entertainment you can expect to see when the parks begin to reopen. Updates from across the Walt Disney World Resort can also be found at Returning to a World of Magic. I think we're all looking forward to returning to the Magic!
