    Staying off property in 3 weeks. I want to be at the front of the gate when they open MK at 8am for the 9am rope drop so that we can be first and get to 7DMT. How early do I plan to arrive in parking so that I am one of the first at gates before opening?

    Hello Ashley,

    Thanks for writing.  How exciting that you have a Walt Disney World vacation only a few weeks away!  The parking lot at Magic Kingdom generally opens approximately two hours before the posted opening time for the theme park.  If you are up for it, I would recommend arriving as early as possible within those parameters to make your way to the park entrance for rope drop.  I assure you that you will be in good company with other visitors hoping to get in as much magic as possible on their visit!   Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a wonderful way to start your day at Magic Kingdom.  You are wise to arrive early, as this is an incredibly popular attraction, and has a significant stand-by queue consistently.
