Hi Nancy,
I’m so glad you’re planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort next year. Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question!
When you purchase a
Standard theme park ticket, you’ll be able to select the number of admission days you would like to use your ticket, as well as the start date of your ticket.
The length of time your tickets will be valid after your start date depends on the length of your ticket. For example, if you purchase a 4-Day ticket, you will have seven days after your start date to use your 4-Day ticket. If your plans change and you need to change your start date, it is possible to change the start date of your ticket. If there is an increase in price, you will need to pay the difference.
Since you’re planning for 2024, it’s important to know that beginning on January 9, 2024,
standard date-based tickets will no longer require theme park reservations for entry to the theme parks. If you are purchasing a Park Hopper Option, you will be able to park hop after 2:00 PM ET.
There are always new and exciting things happening at Walt Disney World Resort, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements about what is coming in 2024. September is often when you can experience
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, so it is a great time to visit! If you have any more questions while you continue to plan your vacation,
come see me again at planDisney and I’d be happy to help!
Tomorrow is just a dream away,
Kaitlin
