We are staying both off property (5 nights) and on property (two nights) in June 2020. I plan on buying a 6 day ticket. Should we stay on property first so we can maximize our Fast Past options?

    Hi Joe,

How fun that you’re planning a full week at “The Most Magical Place on Earth!” You’ll be able to soak up SO MUCH magic and fun, and I know that you’ll cherish all of the wonderful memories you make for years to come!

I’d encourage you to plan your trip however it works best for you. You’ll be able to take advantage of the early FastPass+ booking window for all of the days that you’ll be staying at your Disney Resort hotel, including both your check-in and check-out days. So in your case, you’ll want to log on to your My Disney Experience account as early as 7:00 a.m. Eastern time 60 days before your Disney Resort hotel check-in date, and you'll be able to make three FastPass+ selections per day for up to three days. For the remaining part of your trip, you'll be able to make your FastPass+ selections one day at a time, 30 days in advance. It doesn't matter if the Disney Resort hotel portion of your trip comes at the beginning or end of your visit, as it won't impact your FastPass+ selections for the off-site portion of your trip either way. You will, however, receive complimentary MagicBands with your Disney Resort hotel stay, so if you'd like to use them for your entire visit, you might prefer to start your trip at the Disney Resort hotel.

One more tip for you...Did you know that you'll be considered a Disney Resort hotel Guest all day long for both your check-in and check-out days? That means that you'll not only be able to enjoy all of the wonderful amenities of your Resort hotel, but you'll also be able to take advantage of any Extra Magic Hours those days, even if they fall before check-in or after check-out. Pretty sweet, huh?

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joe, and please feel free to come see us again if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next summer!
