Hiya Crislynne,
Welcome to planDisney! As a super fan of all things Princess and the Frog, nothing quite beats having a “man-catching” beignet. While I’m partial to Tiana’s Famous Beignets that they serve over at
Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland, I also, on occasion, enjoy a Mickey-shaped one over at
Port Orleans – French Quarter!
I’ve recently learned that I’m not alone, Crislynne. It seems the beignet is becoming as popular as a Mickey premium ice cream bar! Speaking of which, the parking lot at Port Orleans is reserved for Guests staying overnight at that resort (typically resort hotel parking lots also allow Guests with confirmed dining reservations, but reservations are not accepted for
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory or
Scat Cat’s Club). If the resort isn't overly busy, the Cast Member assisting with parking may allow you to park to pick up food, but there are no guarantees since the parking lot is intended for registered Guests. I do have a suggestion for you, Crislynne. How do you feel about enjoying some yummy jambalaya and ending with some beignets? If that sounds like a perfect meal, then make a reservation for
Boatwright’s Dining Hall across the Sassagoula River over at
Port Orleans-Riverside. With that reservation, you would be able to park at Port Orleans - Riverside and then, after your meal, walk over to Port Orleans- French Quarter for some beignets!
I hope this was helpful, Crislynne. If all else fails, don’t forget to try out the beignets over at Golden Oak Outpost. They may not be Mickey-shaped, but they are really good! Plus you can wash off all the powdered sugar by taking a drop-down
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
