    We are staying off property. We linked our cards to our account. Is it possible to purchase magic bands instead of carrying around the cards? I don't want to purchase magic bands if this will not work. Any help would be appreciated!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelsey! Thank you for stopping by to bring us your question. 

    Kelsey, I’m happy to share that you can absolutely purchase MagicBands and utilize this magical key to the Kingdom during your upcoming visit, even if you are staying off-site. If you have not done so yet, simply create a My Disney Experience account and follow the prompts to link up all your tickets and reservations. Once you purchase your MagicBands, you will be able to put away your cards and enjoy the convenience of your MagicBand’s wearable technology! 

    You can purchase your MagicBands online at ShopDisney.com, or when you arrive at many gift shops inside the Theme Parks, and Disney Springs.

    I hope you have a most magical visit! Be sure to keep your MagicBands on when you ride all your favorite attractions as some of the attractions will link your Disney PhotoPass picture directly to your My Disney Account. Some even have a really cool ride video where you are the star! So much fun! You’ll be able to review all your PhotoPass pictures right on your My Disney Experience mobile app during your visit and if you wish to purchase your photos, you can add Memory Maker so you can edit, download and share all your magical memories.
