Hello there, Hillary, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for driving by with your
Disney Resort Transportation question. I'm happy to help you work out your route to
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
It's important to know that access via car, including parking and ride share, to hotels within the
Disney Resorts Collection is restricted to Guests with a hotel, dining or recreation reservation at that specific hotel. Since it sounds like you won't have one of these reservations, getting to Art of Animation will require a little planning.
My recommendation is to park at one of the Disney Theme Parks and take Disney Resort Transportation to Art of Animation. If you park at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll take the
Disney Skyliner and transfer at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Art of Animation. This is the route I'd choose because the Skyliner is almost an attraction within itself.
The Walt Disney World Bus Service is available from the other Disney Theme Parks, but keep in mind that for Magic Kingdom, parking is at Disney's Transportation & Ticket Center. This means you'll need to take additional transportation to Magic Kingdom after parking, either by
ferry boat or
Monorail.
While you're there, think about having a meal or a snack at
Landscape of Flavors, the quick-service restaurant at Art of Animation. Or, browse the Ink & Paint Shop for mementos of your trip.
Hillary, since your boys are such Cars fans, I hope you'll reconsider your plans and book your stay at either Art of Animation or
Disney's Pop Century Resort, which is within walking distance of and shares a Skyliner station with, Art of Animation. Take a look at the
special offers page, and see if there's anything you can find within your budget for your dates. It truly doesn't get any better than staying on property, in my opinion.
I hope this has been helpful and that you race back to visit us again with any other planning questions.
Let your dreams guide you!
Melanie
