We are staying off the property in a house a few miles away. What is the best character morning breakfast and how do I get there if it is early? How far in advance should I reserve for the breakfast and the Hoop Dee Doo review?

You should make your Advance Dining Reservations 180 days in advance, if possible.

Character breakfasts are offered at resorts (Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Polynesian and the Contemporary) as well as in the theme parks. The best one will depend on whether you are traveling with princess-crazed people or family members more interested in Lilo and Stitch, for example. If you plan on touring a certain park the morning of your breakfast, then you should try to schedule the breakfast at the park that you will be visiting that day.

Buses are provided from the WDW resorts to the character meals, including early morning dining. For 8 a.m. reservations, you should catch the 7:15 a.m. bus.

    My favorites:
Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. It's quiet and in a serene location. The characters wear beach attire and Minnie is just adorable. The buffet is very nice and has delectable offerings. Yes, they have Mickey waffles! I like walking to Epcot after this meal.

Ohana's at the Contemporary Resort. The tropical atmosphere is relaxing although the antics of Lilo and Stitch are energizing. Breakfast is served at your table, family-style. After dining here, you are a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.
