I will be staying off property in February, I was planing to get an early breakfast at the Bordwalk and take the rest of the morning to explore. We are not doing the parks that day. Is there parking possibilities ?

    Hey there Carole!

So, you're gearing up for a magical off-property Disney adventure in February—nice choice! Our family vacations lately have had us at a 50/50 split between staying at a Disney Resort Collections hotel or staying off-site at a private vacation home or villa to give us some extra space. I think that there are perks to both choices. Now, when staying off-property, parking can be a bit of a puzzle, but no worries, I've got your back.

So, here's the scoop: Disney Resort Collections hotels have become a bit strict with parking. Without a Resort Reservation or a Dining Reservation, slipping through the gates is trickier than turning into a pumpkin at midnight.

But fear not, my friend! I've got a spell that'll make your morning sparkle. Since you are looking to have breakfast, I highly recommend looking for an Advance Dining Reservation. Some options to consider since you are hoping to explore Disney’s Boardwalk are Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort or my personal favorite Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Trust me, it's breakfast paradise! You can either choose an entrée, or a buffet awaits with all the morning goodies such as fruit, yogurt, pastries, melt-in-your-mouth biscuits, choice of entrée, and even some beverages (such as coffee, tea, and juice) are included. Oh, and the price won't cast a spell on your wallet.

Now, when you roll up to Disney's Yacht Club Resort, you will be asked to provide your photo ID to the guard who will check for your dining reservation. You will be able to park your vehicle, enjoy your breakfast, and likely have some time for exploring. If you aren’t familiar, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn are all accessible. Strolling along the Boardwalk and checking out the gift shops are always a nice way to start the day.

One thing that I’d like to mention though: some guards might hand you a tag and ask that you put it on the dashboard of your car. These tags grant 3 hours of parking at the Resort hotel and after that, you will have to move your car. If you are handed that tag, don’t fear, it still will give you enough time to enjoy your meal and explore some of that Resort hotel magic.

I hope you and your family have a blast!
