We might be staying off property with family in Orlando for the marathon Weekend in January. Any advise/ info about driving to and thru the park on race days?

    Hi Annabel!

While staying off property can make the driving a little trickier than staying on property, it can definitely be done.

My BIGGEST piece of advice is to leave really early.  The traffic 2-2.5 hours before the race is minimal.  I always leave that early whether I am riding Disney buses or driving in myself.  It takes the stress out of running late and let's face it-- who can sleep the night before a race anyway?

The final packet of instructions that you will receive in an email, will be available online, and also in print form at the expo will have road closures and driving directions.  Keep in mind that a normal GPS route may not work because of road closures.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
