We are staying off property. What is the easiest, budget friendly way to get to the parks, renting our own car, uber/lyft? Or is there something else out there I'm not aware of? If we rent a car where do we park and how much for standard SUV?

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It looks like you will be trading the Minnesota winter weather for some Florida sunshine later this month.

Since you are staying off property, you will need to secure your own transportation to and from the Walt Disney World theme parks. If you choose to rent a car, you will need to pay one fee for a parking pass good all day at all four theme parks. Each theme park has its own dedicated parking lot with tram service to the front gates. If you are going to the Magic Kingdom, you will park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and from there ride either a monorail or ferry boat to the main entrance. Taking a ride from the Transportation and Ticket Center on the Walt Disney World Monorail System is a fabulous way to start your day at the Magic Kingdom!

There also options for preferred parking lots if you want an even shorter walk to the park entrances. The cost to park a standard SUV in any of the Walt Disney World theme park lots is currently $25 per day for standard parking and $45-$50 per day for preferred parking. Preferred parking pricing is seasonal and can change based on the day of your visit. All parking fees are subject to change.

Parking is complimentary at Disney Springs, Disney's Water Parks, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

If you choose a ride share service, there are designated pick up and drop off zones outside of each theme park near the bus transportation. For the Magic Kingdom, this will be at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you are welcome to use any of the complimentary resort and theme park transportation options to travel between theme parks. You could start your day exploring Star War's Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios and end your day dining in one of World Showcase's unique restaurants, I recommend hopping on the new Disney Skyliner for an adventure in transportation.

However you choose to get there, I know that once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you will have a wonderful time. Have a magical winter getaway, Elizabeth!
