Staying off grounds night before our AoA reservation. Can some of our group take a bus to a Skyliner station and then on to AoA? I know they can take a bus directly…just looking for a more fun way to get there.

Hello there, Cindy! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you’re putting a lot of thought into making every moment of your stay extra magical, and I absolutely love that!

Now let’s talk about one of my favorite modes of Disney transportation: the Disney Skyliner! If some members of your party are looking to take the scenic route to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you’re more than welcome to board the Skyliner from a few key spots: right outside EPCOT’s International Gateway, at the entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or from any of the Skyliner Resort hotels (like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century, or Riviera Resort). Once you’re on board, it’s a smooth and relaxing glide over to Art of Animation, and definitely a fun way to kick off the Disney magic!

That said, there is one important thing to keep in mind: if anyone in your group is carrying large luggage or rolling suitcases, Cast Members may not allow those items on the Skyliner for safety reasons. So if you're planning to transfer from an off-site hotel to Art of Animation with bags in tow, it may be best to go straight to the resort first, check in, and then hop on the Skyliner afterward for some fun exploring or park hopping.

Cindy, I think it’s wonderful that you’re looking for a more whimsical way to arrive at your resort. It truly sets the tone for the magic ahead! If you have any other questions about transportation, check-in, or must-dos once you arrive at Art of Animation, I’m always here and so happy to help.

    Warm hugs,
