Hi, Amy!
I am go glad that you are planning ahead. With a large travel party (including 6 kids!) you will definitely want to have your
dining reservations made ahead of time. Kids under the age of 3 may "share" with an adult for no charge, and kids age 3-9 will have a child's price for their meals, so you should save some money based on having some younger Mouseketeers in your party.
I really enjoy
The Garden Grill at the Land Pavilion in Epcot. Chip and Dale will welcome you to this restaurant that actually turns! It is slow moving, and your views will include the lobby of the Land Pavilion as well as the
Living with the Land attraction. The food is served "family style" so the food is brought on platters to your table. This is nice because you won't have to be getting up and down to help refill plates.
Tusker House Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom is also a lot of fun with Safari Donald as your host, and his Disney Pals joining him. Tables are scattered through several rooms. The buffet is actually in the main area, not where the tables are so this might be a bit challenging with lots of kids. However, it is a lot of fun, and the buffet choices are delicious.
So my preference would be Garden Grill, but if the Tusker House offers a better time/availability for your schedule, I do not think you will be disappointed. Have fun and say "HI" to all the Disney Pals for me!
