Hi Margaret!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I will start by saying I have seen that gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and it is absolutely worth a visit! A house made out of REAL gingerbread!! The gorgeous aroma, and you can even try a shingle of gingerbread. You must go! And you absolutely can visit, even if you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel. You may visit any of the Disney Resort hotels, for dinner, or an event, or just to have a look around. If you are driving you will be permitted to self-park at the hotel, typically for around 3 hours. Please note that if you are visiting in December, at a particularly busy time of the year, the allowed parking time could be reduced. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort also has the luxury of being connected by bus, monorail and boat, so you could use any of those methods of
Disney Transport to make your way there. If you are visiting
Magic Kingdom Park, it is a very short boat ride. If you are parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center, you can enjoy the monorail, and from any of the other theme parks or
Disney Springs you can take a bus.
I encourage you to visit any of the Disney Resort hotels to see their Christmas Decorations. In particular,
Disney's Wilderness Lodge has an amazing lobby display, with the most beautiful tree, and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn has its own gingerbread house and lovely Christmas trees adorning the lobby which are well worth seeing. You can also take advantage of enjoying
Disney's BoardWalk too, while you are there!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
Sue
