We are staying off Disney and are not on the Disney Dining plan. Can you suggest some good Counter Service Restaurants at the parks?

    Hello Christine,

During our family vacations, when we're in the theme parks, we like to eat-and-go. So the Cast Members at the quick service restaurants become some of our best friends!

In Magic Kingdom, I always start my day at Main Street Bakery for a gigantic cinnamon roll. Always! After satisfying my sweet tooth, two of our favorite places to eat here are Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square (think fish and chips and chowder) and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland (burgers and chicken sandwiches with a fixin's bar where you can load it up yourself). Both offer indoor seating, which is plus when the kids start to get tired.

Epcot is fantastic because you literally have the World to choose from. Each pavilion in World Showcase has a quick service option so you can dine in Italy while another family member may choose to taste something from Mexico. Now, if you are looking for something with less of an international flare, I'm a fan of Sunshine Seasons located on the bottom floor of The Land. The food court offers an array of options for even the pickiest of eaters.

At Hollywood Studio's, we stop at Rosie's All American Cafe and Catalina Eddie's on Sunset Boulevard. I can get a Caesar salad and my daughter can still have her chicken nuggets. But we only eat there when I can convince my little one that we're not eating at Pizza Planet. This is her all-time favorite place to eat at the Studio's. If your kids love Toy Story, they'll love Pizza Planet.

I know it's difficult to know where you'll be or what you'll have a taste for while you're in the parks. So I like having several options in my back pocket. Hope this helps!

    Enjoy your trip!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
