We will be staying off Disney grounds and would love to eat at the T-Rex restaurant and Rainforest Cafe. Do we have to make reservations? If so how many weeks in advance. We would like to do a Character breakfast for 2 boys under 10. TY Belinda

    Hello Belinda!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe are such popular restaurants and you are going to have an amazing time at either with the boys! My personal favorite is Rainforest Cafe, but I have a little girl who is not very impressed by dinosaurs. If your grandchildren like dinosaurs then think no further.

You can make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance! While they are not at all required, they are highly recommended. These are very popular venues so the sooner you book, the better. My family has a very hard time waiting to be seated at restaurants when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. They are usually tired and don’t really appreciate waiting, that is why I always make reservations in advance. They can be made online, using the My Disney Experience mobile app or calling (407) 939-3463.

As for character breakfast, one of my favorite locations is Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Here is where you will have the chance to meet and greet the fab five: Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.

Thank you for stopping by once again, Belinda! I hope this helps you while planning.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
