If I am staying off campus on December 3 is it possible to rent golf cart to tool around Fort Wilderness Campground?

Welcome to planDisney, Nancy! I'm so happy you're here with your question.

Currently, golf cart rentals at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are only for Guests staying at this resort. However, you are typically able to explore the resort without a golf cart, especially before or after an advanced dining reservation. Just note that unless you are staying at this resort or have a dining reservation, you will not be able to park here.

I just recently got back from a trip and experienced the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at this resort, and I highly recommend it! I even got to be a minor part of the show. It was completely hysterical! Apparently, I now lead a band called "Matt and the Toots." Look for our record to drop any day now. Do they still call them records? No? Well, I feel like a record would be fitting in our case!

A great alternative to renting a golf cart is horseback riding at this resort, or at the very least, visiting the Tri-Circle-D Ranch to see the horses that call the Walt Disney World Resort home. You also have the option of booking a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride (or Holiday Sleigh Ride seasonally) here! And the carriage rides are typically offered at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside as well.

There are all sorts of recreational activities at the resort as a whole that you may be able to enjoy when you're there. Want to rent a boat? You can do that. Want to go fishing? You can do that. Want to rent a Surrey Bike? You can do that. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! No wonder the Walt Disney World Resort has been referred to as the "vacation kingdom of the world"...and the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Nancy, enjoy whatever excursion and exploration you go on. If you have any other questions about this adventure or another, please feel free to reach out to me!

    Adventure is out there,
