Hi Nadia, welcome to planDisney!
You found the right place to bring all of your questions about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The newly released
planDisney Pocket Guide is your one-stop shop for must-know party details including entertainment times, treat locations, an attraction list, and top tips from panelists. My top party tip is to secure your place on Santa's Nice List by giving him a wave and a smile during the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Catch the 11:00 p.m. parade on Main Street, U.S.A., for smaller crowds and a magical snowfall.
The
Disney Skyliner is one of my favorite ways to travel around Walt Disney World Resort. These gondolas in the sky connect two theme parks (EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios) and four Disney Resort hotels. Unfortunately, the Disney Skyliner won't give you access to the
EPCOT Monorail on your Christmas party night unless you have a theme park reservation for EPCOT that day and/or a park hopper ticket with general admission. Let me explain. The EPCOT Monorail station is located by the front entrance of EPCOT and the EPCOT Skyliner station is located by EPCOT's International Gateway entrance. The only way to walk between EPCOT's two entrances is through the park, and the only way to enter the park is with valid admission.
My recommendation for a route from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom Park is to take a Disney Resort hotel bus to Disney's Contemporary Resort and walk or catch the Disney Resort Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park. The walk from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom Park is approximately 10 minutes. I'd allow 30 minutes for the Monorail ride. In all, allow at least an hour for total transit time between Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this information helps you get to your desired destination, Nadia. Have a holly, jolly time at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
