Hiya Matthew,
Welcome to planDisney, and great question! There is just something extra special about a split stay. Every Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is unique and incredible, and it is always a highlight of my trip when I get to experience more than one during the span of a trip. My record is three in one trip, and I remember being so excited each time I checked in! You picked two great resorts; I’m sure you will love your experience.
The
dining plans are also a great thing to have during a visit to Walt Disney World. We enjoyed planning out what we were going to eat and trying to maximize all of our snack credits at the EPCOT festivals. Despite our expert planning, we still had extra snack credits at the end of our trip that we had to spend before they expired (I grabbed a ton of snacks for us to take on the airplane, so it was a great bonus). Unfortunately, Matthew, even with a split stay, your credits from your first stay will expire at midnight the day you check out. So you would be able to use whatever is left over from your first six nights until the end of the day, but they won’t roll over to the following day.
I hope this was helpful, Matthew! Before I let you go, I’m unsure if you know about luggage transfer services, but I wanted to share in case you didn’t. Since you have a split stay, you should take advantage of luggage transfer through
Bell Services. Just drop your luggage off at Bell Services the morning you checkout (check with the Cast Members the night before when your luggage will need to be dropped off), and they will transfer it from Boardwalk Inn to Animal Kingdom Lodge for you. Oh, and one last thing! As a Guest with a split stay, you are also eligible to visit the water park twice during your vacation this year (once on each day you check in). So be sure to take advantage of this
perk!
Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
