We are staying 2 nights at the Art of Animation, and 4 nights at the Contemporary. Any helpful hints on how we can have a smooth transition over to the 2nd resort? Easy ways to check-in and out? We have never split up our trip into 2 different resorts.

    Hi Christin!

We've done a split stay several times, and Disney couldn't make it easier!  Just make sure you have a credit card on file for express check-out, and you won't have to head to the Front Desk to check out of Disney's Art of Animation.

On the morning of your 'moving' simply pick up the phone and contact Bell Services.  Let them know that you'll be transferring resorts today.  They'll send a Cast Member up to tag and collect your luggage.  I always call about 30 minutes in advance of the pick-up time I'm hoping for.  They'll count and tag all of your bags, hand you baggage receipts, and take it from your room.  You can always bring the bags down to Bell Services on your own as well.  With 3 kids in tow, we appreciate the convenience that they provide by coming to our room!

Later, after you check into your next resort, either call Bell Services, or stop by after you've checked in--make sure you have your baggage receipt handy.  Keep in mind, that even though you (potentially) requested the transfer early in the morning, your bags may not arrive until much later in the afternoon, and that your room at the new resort will likely not be ready until official check-in time or after.  Do make sure you plan accordingly.

    Have a magical vacation!
