We are staying over night at All StarsMovieHotel. Being that we are staying only one night, can you recommend the best plan to go around Magic Kingdom (shows/rides) the best places to eat with 2 small children (5yrs and 2yrs). We bought the dinning plan.

Hi, Laurie! Absolutely...let's make some plans!

    • First, go to the MK Calendar for park hours and Extra Magic Hours.  Click on your specific day to find out times for parades, fireworks and entertainment.
    • Based on that info, go to Advanced Dining Reservations or call 407-WDW-DINE to determine a meal schedule.  At MK for table service, I suggest Cinderella's Royal Table (a must if you have a princess) or Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh), or you can book an early breakfast at 'Ohana's/Polynesian (Lilo & Stitch) or dinner at Chef Mickey's/Contemporary which are on the monorail loop.
    • For quick-service meals, we eat upstairs at the Columbia Harbour House (chicken, fish and healthier options) or at an out-of-the-way table at Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn & Cafe with hamburgers and a toppings bar.
    • Once you have your basis for your day's plan made, you'll have a better idea of how to arrange the rest of the day. Usually the best course of action with little kids is to make your rounds in Fantasyland first -- the earlier, the better. Then, make your way around the park in a clockwise pattern to Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Liberty Square.
    • Our favorite breaks in the day are at Smoky Hollow Snacks in Liberty Square -- funnel cake and Toll House cookies -- or riding the train all the way around the park.
Lastly, I listed several attractions for preschoolers on this question that I answered for another guest which may interest you. I hope that I've helped point you in the right direction. Thanks for visiting me on the Mom's Panel, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
