we will be staying at New Orleans Riverside. We want to go to Chef Mickey with our 5 year old. I'm not sure how long it would take to get there from the resort. Wondering if it is better to have breakfast at resort and supper at Chef Mickey?

    Hi Yvonne,

Thanks for stopping by. I am so glad to see that you have chosen one of my favorite resorts to stay at, as well as one of my kids' favorite character meals! Chef Mickey's is absolutely fantastic and I am sure your little one is going to have a blast dining with Mickey and his pals.

Traveling between resorts will require a transfer, unless you have a car or plan to take a taxi. In order to allow enough time using Disney Transportation, you will want to leave about an hour prior to your advanced dining reservation at Chef Mickey's. I would personally recommend taking a bus from Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside to Magic Kingdom, then taking the resort monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort (the first stop). I really think you should stick with breakfast as it is a fantastic buffet full of kids' favorites and I really prefer the breakfast to the dinner, but that is just me.

I hope you have a magical vacation creating amazing memories.
