I am staying nearby the Disney’s Beach House in Hilton Head. Can I stop by to check out the Disney Beach House and maybe buy a Dole Whip without staying at the Hilton Head Island Resort as a guest?

    Hi there, Sara,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a question about Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, one of Disney's three Beach Resort destinations. A summertime stay on Hilton Head Island sounds dreamy! Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is found across from Shelter Cove Harbour and is home to nearly 12 miles of gorgeous beaches.

Like the other Disney Resorts, Hilton Head Island Resort welcomes Guests to explore the resort for the day. One thing to be aware of is the limited parking. I chatted with a Cast Member who recommends parking right at Shelter Cove Harbour and then taking the boardwalk path to the resort. While non-resort Guests can visit most of the resort such as The Live Oak Lodge, Big Murggie's Den, they are unable to use the Resort's amenities such as the Beach House and pools since they are reserved exclusively for resort Guests.

I do have some good news for you, Sara: if you're craving a DOLE Whip®, head to Tide me Over or Signals for a bite to eat. Grabbing this frozen treat will have you dreaming of Disney!

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. Enjoy your summer vacation on Hilton Head Island!

    Enjoy making magical memories,
    Candace
