Greetings, Ryan, and welcome to planDisney! There's something extra special about spending time with family at the Happiest Place on Earth. It's a great idea to plan ahead to make the experience more comfortable for everyone. I'm happy to help!
I have good news about getting to and from the Main Entrance Esplanade. Bus transportation from the
Toy Story Parking Area is complimentary and available to all Guests. These buses can accommodate most mobility devices.
Speaking of mobility devices, I wanted to mention that manual wheelchairs and Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are
available for rent for an additional cost near the Disneyland Park entrance. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's best to get there in the morning if you intend to rent one.
When it comes to attractions, the
Disneyland Resort website and the
Disneyland mobile app have a handy tool that lets you filter attractions by mobility needs, physical considerations, thrill factors, interests, and more. That could help you identify attractions that might be best for your group.
Make sure to build lots of breaks in the day. There are some great options for getting rest while also staying entertained. Here are some of my favorites at Disneyland Park:
- Use the Disneyland Railroad to get to various points around the park, or go around in a full circle and enjoy all the sights.
- Get a Dole Whip and watch the chorus of Audio-Animatronic birds at the Enchanted Tiki Room.
- Ride the vehicles from one end of Main Street, U.S.A. to the other. You'll rest your legs and experience a little bit of nostalgia.
- The Mark Twain Riverboat, "it's a small world," Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean all provide a great opportunity to sit back.
- Consider a dining reservation at a table-service restaurant for a planned sit-down meal. Or, if you prefer quick service, use the Disneyland mobile app to order food in advance.
Ryan, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
