Hi Ashley,
What an amazing way to spend Christmas! I bet this will be a holiday your family never forgets.
As long as you are staying as a guest at a Disney resort, you don't need a car to get to restaurants throughout property. There are a number of character dining experiences you might enjoy outside the theme parks. They are situated inside some of Disney's most gorgeous resorts and no park passes are required to have dinner in a Disney resort.
A great way to start your vacation would be to have dinner with Mickey and friends at
Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. To get there from Disney's All Star Music Resort, simply board a Magic Kingdom-bound bus. When you arrive at the bus stop in front of the Magic Kingdom, hop on the resort monorail. Disney's Contemporary Resort will be the first stop. Be sure to make advance dining reservations by calling (407) WDW-DISNEY as far as 180 days in advance of your stay.
If you have princesses in your traveling party, you may prefer to have dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming at
1900 Park Fare on the ground floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Advance dining reservations are recommended for this restaurant as well. To get there from your home resort, simply board a Magic Kingdom-bound bus and then transfer to a boat headed to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. If you prefer, you could ride the resort monorail instead of the boat.
Have a magical vacation this December!
Jill
