We are staying at multiple resorts, all 2-bedroom villas, with 5 adults and an almost 2-year-old. Is it better for us to request a 2-bedroom lockoff, as my daughter will be in a pack n play in the "studio" section of the villa, or a standard one?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Sarah!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney.  Thank you so much for visiting us again with your question. How exciting that you are staying in a Disney Vacation Club Villa. As a Member for the last 22 years, our family has loved the home sweet home magic of the DVC Villas.

Not only do we enjoy the space for our entire 'ohana to have plenty of room for sleeping and family time after a fun Disney day. But we love the full-sized kitchens - filled with gadgets and gizmos aplenty - so we can make quick breakfasts and sandwiches for our park days and have plenty of snacks any time our Mouseketeers get that rumbly in their tumbly. And, as a mother of three, I love the in-room washer and dryer, which means we can pack less and have more room for those Disney souvenirs.

Sarah, in my experience, I have only seen two-bedroom Villas that are basically a one-bedroom and a studio lock-off, which is open when you have a two-bedroom.  We have put our kids in that room, and we stayed on the one-bedroom side. The one thing I will caution is that if the "lock off" door is closed from the studio side, you may not be able to open it from the one-bedroom side. You would have to use your key (or Magic Mobile on your phone or your Magic Band) to go through the front door of the studio side.  So, we never fully closed that door (we always put a shoe there just so we didn't have to go into the hallway to the front door to access the room.) The kitchen and laundry will be on the one-bedroom side of the Villa, so if your little one is napping or sleeping, you can still use those areas without disturbing her.

It is possible that there are a more traditional two-bedroom Villas in the Resort where you are staying, and if those are available, you could certainly put in a request for one. While it is not a guarantee you would get it, it is always worth asking.

I hope this helps you, Sarah.  If you have any further questions, soar back here to see us and we will be so happy to help you.  Remember, wherever you wander and wherever you roam, Disney Vacation Club is always your home sweet home.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
