Staying AS Movies 8/21 - 28. 5 adlt 3 ch, 6, 2,& 20 mos. Want to do Fantasmic lu package at Mama's or H&V. Is there a price difference? Choices sound iffy at H&V for my picky eaters. Is package worth it? Will it cut down wait time?

Hi, Patty!   The Fantasmic Dining Package will save you wait time.   You can get in line 30 - 45 minutes prior to the show to get your seating, whereas I recommend up to 60 minutes for the stand-by line.

To dine at Mama Melrose's, the price is about $33 for adults, $12 for your 6 year old, and your 2 younger ones can either share off your plates or you can order them their own meal for $12 each.  The cost at Hollywood & Vine is about $26 for adults and $14 for your 6 year old, and the younger ones can share off your plates (it is an all you can eat buffet, so no need here to pay for an additional meal.)

I actually think Hollywood & Vine is the better option.   There is a complete buffet, including children's area that will have plenty of "kid friendly" food.  There are no characters here during dinner, but I like eating right away and not having to place an order.

But back to Fantasmic!   While this is an amazing nighttime show, it is dark and I think quite scary at times.   It is up to you if you think your kids can handle some villains, darkness, and smoke.   I took my niece when she was 4, and she was very scared.  Just wanted you to know and be prepared!

If you want more information on any of this, just let me know!    I hope this all works out for you and your family.
