We are staying at Movie Resort. Want to spend some time at Ft. Wilderness for petting zoo as well as Campfire with Chip-N-Dale. Can we drive and park car somewhere or what are the transp. options available. (May want to spend 1/2 day or whole day.

    Jacalyn:

If you have a car, I definitely recommend that you drive to Fort Wilderness and park in its outer parking lot.  (Although you can catch a boat from Magic Kingdom over to the fort, getting back to the All-Star Movies resort would mean taking the boat back to the Magic Kingdom and getting on a bus to the All-Stars.)

From the parking lot, you will walk over to the Outpost where you'll see the bus stop.  From there, you'll want to take an internal Fort Wilderness bus to the Settlement. (I prefer the Orange Line.)  You'll be dropped off near Pioneer Hall and behind it you'll find the stables and pony rides.

To get to the Bike Barn where you can rent a canoe, bike or fishing poles, you can take the same bus to the Meadows Trading Post. The Bike Barn, along with the campfire singalong, are across the street from the bus stop, behind the trading post and just over the bridge.

A bus at the same bus stop will take you back to the Outpost parking lot after the campfire.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
