Hi Mallory,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for swimming by with your question. My family stayed in a The Little Mermaid room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort last spring, and I’m so glad to hear your family will be flippin’ your fins there soon too! We loved all the sweet Disney details in the rooms and around the resort, and the
Landscape of Flavors food court is one of my personal favorites at Walt Disney World.
You’ll find gadgets and gizmos aplenty at Landscape of Flavors. Disposable spoons, knives, and dinglehoppers (that’s Ariel’s word for fork), are available in the central area, along with napkins and standard condiments. In the mornings, you’ll find syrup dispensers in this same area, perfect for pouring generously onto the resort’s signature character waffles.
My family always brings snacks and breakfast items with us to Disney, and we pack paper bowls and cups, as those are not provided in the Quick-Service restaurants unless you’re purchasing food. You’ll find a dorm-sized refrigerator in your room, but will need to visit Landscape of Flavors for coffee, other hot beverages, or to use a microwave or toaster. You’ll be able to purchase some paper products and breakfast and snack items at Landscape of Flavors or Ink & Paint Shop (the resort’s gift shop, located right next to the food court). If you’d like to
have groceries delivered to your resort hotel, my good friend Beth provides a great explanation of how that works.
Have so much fun under the sea at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Mallory. I know you and your family are going to love being part of that world!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
