We are staying in a mermaid room at AoA in August. I am aware that these are the furthest away. That being said which building of the mermaid area is closest to buses/food etc? I would like to put in a request for a certain area.

Hi Allison!  Thanks for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I just stayed in a Little Mermaid themed room at Disney's Art of Animation resort and had a great time. You're right, it is a quite a walk from the main areas to this part of the resort.  If you are going to request a building, I'd pick number 7.  If you want to get even more specific, you can ask for an Hour Glass Lake view room close to the Lion King section.  That would be the most ideal building to be in.  I stayed in building 9 with a view of the parking lot but I didn't think the walk was too bad.  Building 8 is the furthest one from the main areas.  However, they are all pretty close together so if you do stay in that building, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Your vacation will be here before you know it.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
