Hello, we are staying at the Marriott Lakeshore Reserve and would like to know the best ways to get to and from the Disney parks.

    Hi Kathryn,

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with your question. Here at planDisney, we are a group of real Guests who have had the incredible honor of helping fellow Disney fans plan their vacations to Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and beyond. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, we’re here to help make your planning as magical and stress-free as possible.

One of the many benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is the unbeatable proximity to the parks and the ease of complimentary transportation to and from all four theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Some nearby properties, such as the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, and others like the Bonnet Creek and Gateway hotels, also offer similar advantages, including dedicated shuttles and close access.

The Marriott Lakeshore Reserve, unfortunately, is not part of those groups, and based on my quick review, it doesn’t appear to offer any official shuttle transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort. I would recommend calling them directly to confirm their transportation options. If they do not provide a shuttle, you’ll likely need to either rent a car for your stay or use a rideshare service, such as Lyft or Uber. Parking at the Disney theme parks is currently thirty dollars per day, so be sure to factor that into your travel budget.

Once you’ve arrived at any of the Disney theme parks or resorts, you can hop aboard Disney’s complimentary transportation offerings to explore other destinations throughout the Disney Resort. Whether you're gliding through the skies on the Disney Skyliner, cruising across the water by boat, catching a bus, or taking a scenic ride on the iconic monorail, getting around becomes part of the magic.

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any additional planning questions or would like a few dining suggestions to pair with your park days, I’d be more than happy to help. And while you’re in the area, I highly recommend carving out some time to visit Disney Springs. With world-class dining, unique shopping, live entertainment, and a few Disney surprises around every corner, it’s a great way to enjoy a relaxing and fun-filled afternoon or evening.

    See you real soon!
