We will be staying at the Magic Kingdom in January 2021. And was told the they would be reinstating the fast pass system post holiday season in the New Year. When can I make my selections?

    Hi David!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am very excited to see that you have a vacation booked at Walt Disney World Resort for January 2021.  I am also planning to visit in January next year, and it is so nice to have that trip to look forward to!

At this time there has been no confirmation about when the currently suspended FastPass+ system will return, and how far in advance we can make our reservations when this is available.  Reservations could previously be made 60 days in advance for Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel, and 30 days in advance for Guests staying elsewhere, but we do not have confirmation that this will remain the same when FastPass+ returns.  Please keep watching the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates as they are announced.

You can ensure you have some plans in place for now - in addition to your park admission tickets, you will need to reserve your Disney Park Passes for each day.   You can reserve one park pass per day, with no park hopping available.  You are, however, permitted to leave your theme park at any time during the day and return later.  I would encourage you to make these reservations at your earliest convenience as park passes are limited, and subject to availability.  You can check currently availability here.

Dining reservations are also encouraged, and can be made up to 60 days ahead of your visit, either online or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app.  Restaurants are operating on limited capacity, so it is advised you make any reservations as soon as you can.

During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go.

Please know we are working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
