I am staying in the Little Mermaid room at the Arts of Animation Resort. I wanted to see what types of coffee makers are in the rooms (pods vs drip) and how big the fridge is? Can I fit a 2 Gallon container of milk in it.

    Hi Christian!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thanks for stopping by to be part of our world before diving under the sea to enjoy your Little Mermaid room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort!  With gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, let’s take a look at what you’ll find in your room!

Christian, I don't know about you, but coffee is an essential part of my morning routine - especially when I'm heading out to rope drop the theme parks!  I'm happy to share that coffee makers are standard in rooms throughout the Disney Resorts Collection and, at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you'll currently find Cuisinart Single-Serve coffee makers.  Disney also provides coffee supplies in their room, including the compatible pods that you'll need to get your morning started!  If you run low during your vacation, you can always request more from Housekeeping.  Additionally, each room includes one small beverage cooler.  The dimensions of the cooler are 18 inches wide by 25 inches high by 22 inches deep, and it chills to about 41 degrees Fahrenheit.  While I'm a big fan of ordering groceries to be delivered to the room, I usually limit our refrigerated grocery purchases.  You will find milk available at Landscape of Flavors - the food court located at the resort - if needed during your stay.  Milk is also available at most dining locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

Did you know Art of Animation is home to the largest Disney hotel pool?  That’s right! The Big Blue Pool is a fabulous area for families to enjoy - and it even includes a splash area for little ones.  You can also "just keep swimming" at two other pools, the Cozy Cone Pool and Flippin’ Fins Pool.  I suggest checking in the lobby when you arrive for a full schedule of activities available during your stay, which may include things like poolside games, arts and crafts, campfires, and movies.  There really is so much to enjoy at your resort - it's a vacation destination in itself!

Christian, I hope this information is helpful as you get ready to make magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
