I am staying at Kidani Village in Sept. 2020. I've heard that they are under heavy refurbishments right now. Do you know if they will be finished by the time of my trip?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alison! We are glad to have you here!

I'm so excited to learn about your September stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village. This resort will transport you to the wilds of the savanna and is home to one of my favorite restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort: Sanaa. The Indian-style Bread Service is amazing and just like Timon and Pumba, the views are a perfect pairing.

Thanks for bringing up a great question about renovations. Late last fall there was some construction happening around the resort including painting of exterior areas. While there was no official date given for a completion of this project, since it began last fall and you are not scheduled to arrive until September, I think you'll find most areas done, in tip top shape and with no inconvenience to guests.

Alison, I will be crossing my fingers that all of the areas worked on will be done for your trip. And if I can make one more recommendation it would be to check out the Recreation Calendar. Available upon check-in, here you will find all you need to know about Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and the programs offered throughout the day and week. When my husband and I were here, we met with a Savanna Guide to learn more about animals before our lunch reservation.

I hope this helps as you're preparing for your upcoming trip. Best wishes for a vacation that is worthy of the King of the Jungle.
