Hello we are staying in July and staying in a resort view only room can we upgrade on July 3rd please?

Hello there, Phillipa, and welcome to planDisney! You must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! I'm coming to you from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort today, and as I sit here overlooking the lake and watching the Disney Skyliner go by (resort-refillable mug full of coffee, of course!), I'm reminded of just how much I love a good view! I see your visit is just around the corner, so let's get straight to your question!

Whether you're hoping to upgrade your room category or you want to upgrade a room-only reservation to a Disney World vacation package, Disney Cast Members are always available on-site to help you make your desired changes (subject to availability). If you'd like to add Theme Park Tickets to your stay, simply visit Guest Relations upon arrival. You can also add your tickets in advance by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line. This may be your best option if budget is a consideration, since U.K. guests can receive exclusive promotions and discounts that aren't available here in the U.S.

Phillipa, if you'd like to upgrade your room at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, consider me your enabler! There's nothing I love more than a great view from my Disney World hotel room, so let me tell you about upgrading. First of all, you are welcome to upgrade your room category once you're on-site, as long as the room category you're looking for is available. Talk to a Cast Member at the front desk, and they'll tell you what's available and how much it will cost to make the switch. Be aware that you're arriving over the July 4th weekend, which is a popular time to travel here in the U.S. If a particular room category is important to you, I highly recommend calling the above-mentioned Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line to secure your room in advance.

I hope this information is helpful, Phillipa, and that your upcoming stay is nothing short of magical! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
