We will be staying at Jambo House in October and have dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon. I'm worried about how to get from Wilderness Lodge back to Jambo House after dinner since it will be after Magic Kingdom closes for the evening.

    Hi Patrice!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad that you stopped by to ask such a great question.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful Resort hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort! There is something so majestic about sipping your morning cup of coffee and watching the animals roam. My favorite restaurant, Sanaa, is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, which is a short walk from your room! If you have the opportunity to check this dining spot out, be sure to sample the Indian-style Bread Service and sip on a Painted Lemur cocktail.

Some of my best memories are dining at Whispering Canyon Café. I have been so impressed with the quality of food, and the Cast Members are out of this world. I have had some serious belly laughs while dining here. Be sure to play along to make the most out of your experience. With Theme Park operating hours looking a bit different these days, you may find that you have to get a bit creative with transportation if your dining reservation ends after Theme Park closing. Typically, I will use Uber or Lyft to get from one place to the next if standard Disney Resort Transportation isn’t available. While Uber and Lyft are an extra charge, I haven’t found that it is too pricey. If you aren’t comfortable using that service, another option would be to take Disney Resort Transportation to Disney Springs. You could walk off some of that tasty dinner and enjoy shopping, or you could just find the bus stop that will transport you back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.

I hope that you and your family have the most magical time!
