Ahoy there, Kara! Thanks so much for sailing on over to planDisney - so glad you found us. Winter is perhaps the very best time to have a
Disney Cruise Line vacation to look forward to, and I am sure you're counting down the days to your trip later this month. Let's dive right in to track down the information you're looking for!
My pre-cruise preference is always to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport for cruises departing from Port Canaveral. I love people-watching at the airport and watching planes coming and going from the excellent pool at the Hyatt. It makes for a stress-free departure day, as you can leave your bags in your room and Bell Services will pick them up there for transfer to the cruise ship. It makes the embarkation process so much easier when you don't have to manage bags, too!
Kara, your Port Arrival Time is determined by your
Castaway Club status and whether you are sailing Concierge level. If you decide to take
DCL ground transportation, the staff at the Hyatt will let you know when to arrive at the transfer area at the airport when you check into the hotel. You can enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel and then head to the departures area - the DCL Cast Members there will check you in and direct you to your shuttle.
To add ground transportation to your reservation,
call Disney Cruise Line for a friendly assist! The current cost for ground transfers is $90 per person for a round-trip booking ($45 one-way).
I hope you this information is just what you need to make your departure day smooth sailing! If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions before you set sail, please don't hesitate to reach out again.
SEA Ya Real Soon!
