I am staying with my husband with a package. He isn't staying the entire time. I am then staying with my parents. How do I get my magic band linked to their hotel room so I can get in? Is there a cost? I already plan to upgrade my base tickets to add days

    Hi Cindy!

Yes, you can use your MagicBand to open the door of your parent's Walt Disney World Resort room when you are staying with them as long as you do a few things before your Walt Disney World vacation.  The first is that you need be linked to your parents in your My Disney Experience account.  You can link them by adding them as friends or family by logging onto your My Disney Experience account on your computer or mobile phone (in order to do this your parents will need a My Disney Experience account and then they will have to accept your invitation).  The second thing is that your name needs to be on your parent's Walt Disney World Resort reservation, so they will have to add you to the reservation so that the computer system knows that you will be staying in the room to give your MagicBand the ability to unlock the door.  I would recommend doing this before your Walt Disney World vacation even though it can be done at check in or while you are there (this will save time and give you more time in the parks).

I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
