If you are staying in the same hotel room as another family can each of you add park tickets and manage your own Disney experience on the app? Choose your own rides.

Hi there, Frank! Welcome to planDisney! It’s always great to help a fellow New Yorker!

How exciting to be planning a Walt Disney World vacation with another family. As they say, the more, the merrier! So, I’m sure you will have such a blast together during your upcoming visit.

Now, even though you are staying in the same room, you can all still have your own My Disney Experience account. You will just want to make sure you are linked to each other’s Family & Friends Lists so you can make any necessary plans together, like dining reservations, etc. You’ll also want to ensure all Guests staying in the room are linked to the Disney Resort Collection Hotel Reservation. So, to get linked up, you’ll want to follow the steps below.

    • Have your group log into their My Disney Experience app and open the menu (the three stacked lines on the bottom right corner). Then, have them Scroll down, select "My Profile," and click on "Show My Linking Code."
    • Ask them to jot down the six-character manual code on this screen, and send it over to you.
    • Once you have their manual linking code, open your own My Disney Experience app and navigate to "My Profile."
    • Toggle over to "Family & Friends List" and select "Add a Guest."
    • Click on "Scan their linking code," and "Manually Enter a Code," submit, and you are all set!

Once your Family & Friends are linked up, you can make plans together, book Disney Genie+ selections as a group, and so much more. However, you can still make individual plans and purchases without including the rest of the group. These plans will show up only on your My Disney Experience account unless the members of your party are added to them.

Did you know that you’ll be arriving at the very tail end of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration? How lucky is that? There is so much to enjoy during this special time, including some fantastic shows available throughout all four theme parks. If you do nothing else, make sure you check out the incredible nighttime show, Disney Enchantment, at Magic Kingdom Park. This fireworks spectacular is really special and is the perfect way to end your magical day in the parks! Make sure you keep an eye on the My Disney Experience App for showtimes during your visit.

I do hope this has been helpful to you, Frank! Please feel free to stop by again if you have any other vacation planning questions. If I don't speak with you again, I'll be wishing you an absolutely wonderful vacation!

    Until next time,
    Diana
