    We are staying at a hotel that is not in the WDW Resort and was curious if it would be better for my family to take the shuttle or drive. Is it more efficient money and time wise to do one or the other? Please advise.

    Hi Paula!

    This is a great question. You should call your hotel and find out if they offer a shuttle service to Walt Disney World and how often it runs. Be direct when asking how it works. Disney buses running to Disney hotels run about every 15 to 20 minutes. It has been my experience that offsite hotels don't even come close to that; in fact many only offer a shuttle for a few hours in the morning and a few at night and you are on your own during the day!

    After you know what the shuttle service is from your hotel, you will be in a better position to decide about getting a rental car. Whenever I stay offsite, I always have a car. It is easy to drive around Walt Disney World.
