Hi there, Erin! I just got so excited reading your question.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of my very favorite resorts at Walt Disney World and I am really happy that you are going to experience the magic of staying there. Your trip is just a few short weeks away, I know you've got to be getting so excited.
Erin, I have good news for you!
Gasparilla Island Grill is a quick-service dining location at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and has exactly what you are looking for. Each day they serve up breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've also enjoyed a late-night bite there a few weeks ago after a full day at Magic Kingdom Park and it was wonderful. For breakfast, you'll find
menu items like my personal favorite Mickey waffles, breakfast platters, croissant sandwiches, oatmeal and an assortment of bakery goods to choose from. You'll also find plenty of hot coffee to get you going in the mornings. For lunch and dinner you'll find options like pizza, sandwiches, burgers and snacks on the menu. A few weeks ago I had the chicken and brie sandwich and I can tell you it was simply amazing! I actually liked it so much I've recreated it here at home. Gasparilla Island Grill is currently open from about 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. each day.
If you plan on dining here during your vacation, you should know that they are only accepting mobile orders at this time. To mobile order, you must have the MyDisneyExperience app downloaded on your smartphone. When you are ready to order simply open the app, click the icon with three horizontal bars and then select "Mobile Food Orders". Then you'll select, "Create New Order" and select the restaurant and arrival window. From there you'll be able to view the menu, select and customize your order and check out. When you've arrived at the restaurant you can tap the "I'm here, prepare my order button" and the kitchen will get to work on your order right away. You'll receive a notification when your food is ready to head inside and pick it up. There will be a Cast Member at the door to verify that your order is ready and he or she will let you in. Right now, you can enjoy your food inside at the tables that are physically distanced or you can find some tables set up outside as well.
If you are able to snag a reservation one morning at the
Grand Floridian Cafe, I highly recommend it. I think the restaurant itself is so cute and their breakfast menu has a wide variety of options that you can't find a lot of places. On the menu you'll find options like avocado toast, different flavors of quiche, eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes and so much more. They also serve a delicious array of flavored coffees in the morning as well as smoothies and juices. I also think that for being a sit-down meal, the prices are very reasonable making this a winner of a breakfast all around. I think you'd really enjoy it.
Erin, I'm glad that you are going to be able to grab an early morning bite at Gasparilla Island Grill during your stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
