Hi Heidi,
Ooh...you're just a few weeks away from your visit to the most magical place on earth! I bet you're bursting with excitement and anticipation over your trip! You're coming at a really
fun time of year, too, with some GREAT special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! You're going to have a BLAST!
I am definitely someone who loves to save money, but I would actually recommend that you not park at Disney Springs to avoid the overnight parking charge at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Some fees are just worth paying to avoid a hassle, and I would consider going back and forth from your Resort hotel to your car at Disney Springs a rather large inconvenience. Vacation should be about relaxation and fun! In addition, though, I checked with a Cast Member just to see if it was even allowed. He told me that overnight parking is not allowed at Disney Springs and your vehicle could be towed if you leave it unattended overnight. I'd say the
parking fee is a small price to pay for peace of mind that your car won't be towed! The great news is that theme park parking is still free for Disney Resort hotel Guests, so you won't need to pay if you use your vehicle to travel to the theme parks!
I hope that you enjoy your stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's a truly GORGEOUS place to stay, and the location can't be beat! You'll feel like true Disney royalty. Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heidi, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're preparing for your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
