I will be staying at the Grand Floridian in September and will be driving a car. Do I need a parking pass? Do I have to pay extra when entering Disneyworld to get to the hotel or do I just tell them I am staying at a park resort?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Paul!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I am sure that staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will make the experience even more magical.

Most of my visits include a rental car, mainly for convenience, so I understand why you are asking these questions. You will receive a parking pass when you arrive and check-in for your stay, and no, you will not pay extra to visit and park at the theme parks. A standard overnight parking fee will be charged for parking each night at your stay. You will find the exit to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa before you approach the Magic Kingdom parking entrance, so you will not need to pay to arrive at your resort.

I know your arrival is on the horizon so if you need additional assistance, just let us know.

    Have a magical stay!
