We will be staying at the Grand Floridian but the room only sleeps 5. If my mom stays at a different hotel but wants to hang out with us by the pool, can she get a day pass to the pool?

Get ready for some pool fun, Christine! My kids adore the many splash pads and water-play areas at Disney's Polynesian Village and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. That Alice in Wonderland themed water pad is so cute, I could stay there all day!

If your mom does not stay with you at the Grand Floridian and stays at a different hotel, she will not have access to the Grand Floridian pools, as that is official resort policy. There are no day passes, either, sadly. You might be able to triple check with the front desk, as you never know what magic the front desk staff may be able to provide.

Just so you know, there are one and two bedroom suites at the Grand Floridian that sleep 6 and 8, respectively if that may be a better fit for you. Friends of mine have rented DVC points in an effort to stay in a larger room to fit bigger families, so that is always helpful. If you have any more questions or need further recommendations, please think of the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a magical vacation! ~ Lindsey P.
