If staying at the Grand Floridian prior to cruise how can you get tested? Does WDW offer the required Covid testing for a cruise on Disney Wish?

Hey Howdy Hey Brenda and welcome back to Disney!

The only thing better than a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is pairing it with Disney Cruise! I am so excited about your upcoming trip in September. Blending the land and sea vacation has double the excitement in planning and so much to look forward to visiting and sailing in the fall. Thank you so much for your question as this is a big concern for a lot of cruisers starting their first leg of their vacation in Walt Disney World.

COVID-19 testing is not required for trips to Walt Disney World Resort and is something that is not performed on Walt Disney World property to my knowledge. There are, however, several places you can go to that are just outside of Walt Disney World for testing such as several sites from Advent Health. Make sure to review the "Know Before You Go" section of the website on Disney Cruise Line for the specific requirements for testing.

You should also see tips on getting your testing done before your trip such as by ordering at-home tests from the Safe Passage site. There is also information on independent providers Disney Cruise Line partners with to get the results of the tests turned around quickly for your date of sail. As noted on the site, always make sure to check on turnaround time for communications of testing to have everything you need for your cruise. If you did need to mail anything to Disney Cruise Line with regards to your testing decision, there is a Business Center located in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa which will be able to handle this for you.

Hopefully, that information helped clear things up as you continue to plan for your trip in September. As you do continue to plan, I would be remiss if I did not let you know about the big news in Walt Disney World with the return of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom! One of the more popular fall festivities is back this year and gives so many reasons to plan trips to experience this special event. In the past, Disney has had unique parades, shows, attraction overlays and of course food specific for these parties to make them extra special. If you are able, I would highly encourage you to consider attending this Not-So-Scarry event to celebrate the Halloween season!

Best of luck on your continued planning for your trip later this year and if you have any further questions please feel free to reach out, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
