We will be staying at the Grand Floridian and plan to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Will the monorail be open during that event? Also, should we expect extremely short waits for the rides-like just a few min., or just shorter than normal?

Hi Katherine! A stay at the Grand Floridian Resort is a special one and the location is ideal for all your Disney fun.

The monorails do indeed run during the special event parties such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You will not have any difficulty in getting to and from or around the loop to other resorts that evening. It is hard and actually impossible to predict the crowds that will dictate the attraction lines. If a special event party is sold out then the lines will be just a tad shorter then normal. I have been when lines were almost non existent and then again when lines seemed just as long as during the day. The longer you can stay and keep the family happy the shorter the lines will become. Many guests will leave after the parade and fireworks and this is then the best time to hit the attractions.

    Have fun!
