Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Donna!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is such a lovely place to stay; it’s just the picture of Victorian elegance, and is in the most picture-perfect setting. Plus, it smells incredible!
A stay here is always wonderful, but a stay during the holidays is just sensational. The lobby is home to a towering, glittering Christmas tree and a
life-sized gingerbread house. You’ll want to spend some time looking closely at the house, which is hand-built and decorated by Disney’s amazing pastry chefs and covered in special touches. You can even purchase gingerbread shingles and cookies from a shop inside the house. I just love it!
Donna, while there isn’t a coffee bar set up in the mornings at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, I have some great options for you. Coffee is a MUST for me most mornings (I consider it grown-up pixie dust), and I love a hot cup of tea, too. This resort offers some great options for the caffeine lovers among us!
First, you will find a Keurig machine in your room, along with K-Cups of coffee and a few varieties of tea. I stayed there a few weeks ago, and I also had shelf-stable creamer, a variety of sugars, stir sticks, and napkins, along with ceramic and paper to-go cups. Those supplies will be replenished daily when Mousekeeping visits, and you can request more if needed by calling Mousekeeping on your room phone.
I see you previously asked about a
Club Level stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you've booked a Club Level room, you will find a coffee bar in the Club Level lounge.
You mentioned
Gasparilla Island Grill, and that’s a great option for coffee time. They have a full coffee bar and can serve you a cup of regular coffee or something a little fancier. They have syrups for flavored coffee drinks, an espresso machine, and a great selection of pastries. I saw the cutest Mary Poppins-inspired carousel horse cupcake in the case!
Finally, if you’re looking for a really lovely experience, don’t miss
Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room. My daughter and I had such a special time at our tea last year, and we’re planning to return again on an upcoming visit. If you’d prefer coffee, you can ask for that instead of tea, or choose from an extensive menu of teas, which come served in a flowered tea pot with a signature tea cozy. We loved our sandwiches and pastries, and it was the perfect experience to match the elegance of the resort.
Donna, I hope this helps you find the perfect cuppa while on your visit this November.
The holidays are such a special time for a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope you have so much festive fun!
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
