Hiya, Allison!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your tie-dye question. February is just around the corner—how exciting! I can only imagine the joy and anticipation your family must be feeling as you count down the days until your visit to the most magical place on Earth.
Tie-dying at the resorts has become one of my family’s favorite traditions! Over the years, we’ve created our own little Disney art gallery of Mickey-shaped tie-dye masterpieces from places like
The Grand Floridian,
Vero Beach, and
Old Key West. It’s such a fun way to bring a bit of Disney magic home with us.
Now, let’s dive right into your question! In my experience, I’ve been able to join in on tie-dye activities at a resort where I wasn’t staying. However, this resort activity can vary, and after speaking with a cast member, it is ultimately up to the discretion of the resort's Recreation and Activities Cast Members. My advice? When you arrive at the Grand Floridian, check the Recreation and Activities Guide or stop by the front desk to confirm the tie-dye times and availability, as they can vary by week.
Since you’ll be visiting in February, don’t miss
Epcot's Festival of the Arts! This festival is a celebration of creativity with live performances, incredible art galleries, and hands-on experiences. Be sure to check out the
Paint-by-Number Mural where you and your family can contribute to a larger-than-life masterpiece—a perfect complement to your tie-dye fun!
I hope your trip is filled with magical memories and colorful creations! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
See you real soon,
Christina
